I'm over on Tall Clothing Mall sharing a few fun Holiday sweaters and a review.  All of these items are available in regular sizes as well as tall and petite! Go check it out!

A while ago I took 4 or 5 photos of myself in various outfits for a "What I wore" series.  But then I realized I had to get dressed, put makeup on, AND clean (enough to take a photo without mad chaos looming in the background) even when I wasn't going anywhere...and I thought, this just isn't worth it. [insert winky face here].  Addthe fact that my clothes are mostly thrifted, from Target, Old Navy, or Gap...and well it's just not that interesting.  But I've been trying to do clothing reviews over on Tall Snob any time I buy a tall clothing item. I know I haven't shared my work over on Tall Snob in a while but I had fun with this post--which brought back the "What I Wore" series that never happened.  I love cute lounge wear and this pair of pants fit the bill!  The best part--you can cut them to any length you desire.  I couldn't wait to review them and try dressing them up for summer and fall.  Here's the final product.

If you know me in real life you know how much I heart tulle.  Love it.  Can't get enough. Well today I'm over on Tall Snob with my interpretation of this awesome pin:

I'm not gonna lie; I'm pretty proud of this post over on Tall Snob today.  I know I sound like a stalker but it was totally inspired by her.  Check out the full post here.

I feel like the fact that I occasionally blog about fashion means life is slowly returning to normal after having this sweet girl.  I'm over at Tall Snob today discussing pretty puffers.  Take a peek--all of the items featured come in "regular" sizes, not just tall sizes.  And the most affordable one? $17!  That price is amazing enough to tempt me to add a 6th puffer to my closet. (Yes I'm embarrassed that I have so many but not embarrassed enough to stop seriously considering the $17 option.  This is what you call a problem).

1. They are quick and easy. No exhaustive styling required.
2. They make jeans and a thermal look so much cuter.
3. Fall/winter accessories work so well with them: chunky knit hat and gloves, bright & pretty scarf, furry boots.  YES.

Here are a few I didn't feature in my TallSnob post:

Victoria's Secret "The Angel Puffer." If you know me, you know I love bright colors.  Pretty sure I'd look awesome in this. ;)

I haven't posted about clothes in a while!  I guess I'm getting old.  Or mommy-ish.  Or both.  I am sooo beyond the stage in life where it's ok for my thong to show.  (And really, who can get away with that?). Besides getting older, I also keep having babies.  Well twice anyway.  Those of you with kiddos know, it's hard to wear low rise jeans and not have everything hang out.  Heck, it's hard to wear strapless, spaghetti straps, sweetheart necklines, wedges, three inch heels...Ok, I'll stop, lest I convince the childless fashionista to remain so forever!  Well anyway, this awesome pair of jeans brought me closer to my goal of...no panty peek.  Or Just say no to crack.  Or whatever you want to call it.  I am so psyched that the rise  is, well... rising.  And I love that I can be practical and stylish.  In fact I was so proud of myself for wearing high rise super skinnies with a cropped oversized tee the other day that I texted my 21 year old, edgy, cool sister to tell her.  Yes, I'm a nerd.  And even when I was 21 (you know- 8 years ago ;), I was not edgy nor was I cool.  Shocking right?

Well if you're in the market for a pair of high rises, but don't have the dough for a pair like this:

I'd urge you to consider these!

Hi Rise Super Skinny Jean

They are cheap, comfy, and cute.  The three most important Cs at this stage of my life (8 years ago, it was the 4 Cs.  Thank you Joe DeLangie for getting them right).  Right now, American Eagle is having  a sale on all jeans, including free shipping.  Don't miss out!

So a while ago I posted that I would be writing for Tall Clothing Mall.  I wrote a newsletter recently that I had such fun with that I had to share a portion of it here!  It was a list of "Resort Wear Must Haves for Him and for Her."  All of these items (besides accessories) are available in tall sizes.  If I hadn't had that limitation I would have gone crazy with options! It's kind of like real life- If I could wear anything off the rack and wasn't obsessed with buying clearance items only, I'd probably be a gajillion dollars in debt.  Thank you God for protecting me from myself.  Anyway, here they are.  Visit the Tall Clothing Mall Blog for sources.

Hey peeps, Just thought I'd let you know that I am working for Tall Clothing Mall again.  Those of you who know me personally might remember that a couple of years ago I wrote articles for TallClothingMall.com.  Well Krista (the proprietor of the site) has asked me to re-join the team.  Since I am not working full time, I have a bit more time and will be contributing to her blogs, (tallclothingmall.blogspot.com & tallsnob.com) as well as writing her newsletter, and potentially helping clients with personal shopping requests.

Me at 7 or 8.  Notice how much taller I was than the other kids!

This is a cause that's dear to my heart.  I've been tall my whole life (I came out of the womb at 2 1/2 feet.  ok, I'm kidding).  But seriously since I could remember, I was taller than the other kids, boys included.  If I had a nickel for every time I heard (from the latter) "she's cute but she's too tall..." I'd be, well not rich but I'd at least have a handful of nickels :)  I didn't  love being tall until I was in college.  Part of the reason why was the clothing aspect.  Back then you really couldn't find long inseam clothing (or certainly not in my parents' price range anyway) and I'd wear high waters or mens' pants.  I loved fashion even then and the fact that I had to choose between dressing like a boy and wearing high waters made me want to gag.  Every kid has her thing- too tall, too short, too skinny, too fat...so this is no sob story.  I only tell you that to let you know that I seriously empathize with people who are not the norm and can't find what they're looking for--clothes, or anything else for that matter--and am really excited about helping folks meet that need.  I also love to write (shocking!) and so writing about shopping for tall people?  It's pretty much a perfect gig.  The only downfall?  I am totally coming across tons of great clothing items that I must have...but since I'm not bringing home any bacon, can't really justify.  Shame right?!

My first pair of womens' jeans that were long enough were Lucky Brand.  I bought them my sophomore year of college.  They were $70 and I had to put them on layaway!

Check out the site--even if you're not tall, her sales page is awesome and always loaded with discounts and coupon codes for a variety of stores, most of which are not specifically geared toward tall people.  If you are tall and haven't checked out Tall Clothing Mall yet, please do and make sure to sign up for the newsletter! It's an amazing resource full of options for you!
