I'm excited to share Dax's new gallery wall with you. I'm slowly but surely making this house our home. I talked a little about how sad I was that I couldn't just put the pieces back together in Dax's room in the new space, here. I had all the art I needed and couldn't wait to get the room painted and get some art on the walls. If I needed more motivation, I got it when my sister-in-law gifted me a beautiful handmade piece of art for Dax's new digs. You guys. My sister-in-law is so talented! She's the same one I've mentioned for designing beautiful printables for most of the kids' parties (the latest being their Mermaid and Shark party). She recently opened an etsy shop called Boutique Barn and it is chock-full of gorgeous rustic home decor. These are handmade treasures but at affordable prices. But I'll let the images (and Dax's improved gallery wall!) speak for themselves. Don't forget to check out the special offer at the end of the post!

I only did a few DIYs for Dax's nursery but these lovely arrows are my favorite.  This isn't a real tutorial because I didn't take "process" photos (unfortunately).  But I'd like to share the finished product and a step by step of how I did it.

It's time I finally share Dax's nursery.  And admit to myself and to you that it might not ever be 100% complete!  It's good enough for now. And I'm excited for you to see it.

I'll start by saying I LOVE his nursery.  It's not perfect but it was so fun to depart from the ultra girly nurseries I created for Genevieve and Nadia and do something more masculine.  I jumped aboard the aztec/tribal trend and I can't say I'm sorry. I'll admit I meant for the theme to be more subtle but I just kept finding things I loved and "editing" has never been my forte.  It's trendy but there are definitely classic elements that can grow with him (and with me when I tire of the trend) over time.  I also love the main message-- be brave and courageous.  It truly embodies character traits I hope to cultivate in him (and each of the kids) and we've recently chosen Joshua 1:9 as our family scripture.  Be brave enough to tell the truth, daring enough to be different, courageous enough to stand up for what you believe in.  So here it is in all its glory. (and I'm sorry for the obnoxious watermarks. I tried to make it smaller way too many times and then gave up. I have a newborn.  Ain't nobody got time for that).

Currently I have guests staying in the nursery so I can't give you a real sneak peek.  So I decided to throw together a little e-peek.  All of the items pictured are currently in the nursery.  There is more to of course--a fun yellow side table, shelves, woodsy/rustic art, and fun DIYs, but this is the best I could do with items available online.  My instagram friends have asked to see more so hopefully this tides you over!  Oh and if you don't follow on instagram, there are more "real" sneak peeks there.
