Taste{full} Treats- Fondue Fare - Pretty Real

Taste{full} Treats- Fondue Fare

11:15 AM

Every year my husband and I ring in the New Year by making fondue and watching Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin Eve.  Last year these activities were intermingled with our own little dance party.  I'm not kidding; we found this 90's hip hop station (you know, with songs like "Tootsie Roll") and ushered in club DeLangie.  We are such nerds.  But I love us :)  (Ok so I have to interject that my husband is sitting next to me now denying that we danced.  He's saying we "played games."  Yeah-- the game was us dancing for an hour in our living room.  It's my blog Joe!).  Anyway, we aren't really club goers but I try to create a fun and festive atmosphere at home for New Year's Eve. And I don't know about you but for me, food makes everything fun (it's a wonder I'm not 300 lbs).  So if you're looking for something a little out of the ordinary I highly recommend fab fondue and silly dancing.  Here are my favorite fondue recipes.

We dip broccoli, cauliflour, lil smokies and/or keilbasa, steak tips, apples, and french bread

We dip strawberries, pineapples, pretzels, and pound cake.  Also try marshmallows and graham crackers.

Obviously you need a fondue set. Mine is similar to this one, though there are a lot of fancier sets out there.

Lastly, you know you want this.  Dance it out.

Happy New Year from the ladies of Taste{full}!!
