You've heard me lament the process of meal planning and grocery shopping more than once, in stories. Well, I finally sat down and brainstormed ways to make the process easier- especially during this busy holiday season. And everything came up "have your groceries delivered." ha! I've been using Walmart Grocery Pick up for over a year but stopped short of paying for delivery each time. Now that they've introduced Walmart+, with one membership fee for the year, I can have my groceries delivered plus other benefits I'll share in a bit. But it's not just about groceries- although that's a BIG one. There are other ways I use it to mark things off my to-do list. Here are the little conveniences that add up with Walmart +:

1- The obvious first, is grocery delivery. When I started doing my shopping with Walmart online grocery, the convenience was great. But now that I'm working, scheduling the time to pick them up, around my work commitments, the kids' school schedule, appointments, etc, was proving to be a bit of a barrier. Now, I can have them delivered with the free delivery from your local store on orders $35+ (restrictions apply) benefit and it's taking one thing off of my plate.

2- Keeping on top of requests from the kids. When one of the kids lets me know they need something for school like canned goods for the food drive, a toy for the toy drive, or personal care items my daughter's Sunday school class was collecting for families in transition (all of which have happened within the past few weeks!) I can add it to my online grocery list, even if it's at the last minute (which let's be honest- isn't it always?!). Once I sit down to complete my order, it's half done and it includes non-food items that I don't have to run to the store for at 7 pm the night before it's due. Cue praise hands. 

3- Grabbing last-minute home items. Did you know some home decor/organization items are available to be delivered from the store via Walmart +? When our coffee canister broke recently, I was able to quickly add this one to our grocery order and had it the next day. Now I don't have to run to a home store, get distracted, and spend too much when I really only wanted one thing. There are my savings right there. ha!

4- Walmart + free shipping, no order minimum (excludes oversized/freight & Marketplace items). Do you do that thing where you review what you got your children for Christmas and one kid is coming up short? No? just me? Recently, when I realized I needed another item for my little one, I grabbed this without debating adding more to my cart to meet the shipping threshold. (That's a rabbit hole, my friends. Again- more savings!).

5- Making meal planning easier. When you can have groceries delivered as soon as the same day or the next, it makes meal planning easier. Just this week I was able to grab ingredients for a few meals and have them dropped off the next day. Plus being able to grab ready-made meals from the deli is helpful for those busy nights. Now I'm not serving cereal for dinner. #winning

7- Staying on budget. Lastly, in addition to the value found at Walmart, not strolling the aisles (especially with kids- when things mysteriously land in my cart!), helps me save money and stay on task. That's important always but during December when the budget seems to, er, get away from us, it's super helpful to stick to my list!
