My "baby" is turning 2 in just over a month! Where does the time go? Remember this post from her 1st birthday (still one of my favorite ever posts on Taste{Full}). A little over a month ago I decided I'd better choose a theme and get started! Of course the fact that I can host a party outdoors for Nadia, takes choosing a theme to another level! There are just so many more options it seems. My house isn't exactly 'open concept,' so it's not the best for hosting parties. But my back yard is totally doable.
Taste{FULL} and Live the Fancy Life Child's Room Design Package Giveaway
I am thrilled to announce that Live the Fancy Life and I have teamed up with
aden+anais, Lisa Barbero, Paige Simple, and each other to bring you an awesome
giveaway. Have you struggled to design your child’s nursery,
toddler
or big-kid room?
Have you ever dreamt of just making a wish list, handing it to
someone, and letting her create a design scheme and do all the shopping?
And wouldn't it be nice to also get a bunch of free stuff while
you’re at it? Um, yes please!
Well, that’s exactly what we’re going to do for one lucky
winner.
Jessica and I have designed many fabulous rooms and events
in our time as bloggers and mamas to our toddler children. From nurseries and nursery DIYs featured on blogs like Chic & Cheap Nursery and Apartment Therapy to parties featured on Hostess
with the Mostess (here and here), PopSugar Moms, Style Me Pretty Living, and Apartment Therapy, we love a good creative challenge and have an eye for great
design on a budget.
The winner of this giveaway will receive:
•
An email and/or Skype or Google Hangout consultation with Jessica and I.
•
A nursery design board created
by Jessica and I, suited to your preferences and budget. It will include paint colors, fabrics, resources including a
shopping list and links to items as well as suggestions
and tutorials for any do-it-yourself projects (see examples of our boards below).
•
One art print by Paige Simple
•
Initial wall letter by Jessica
•
An awesome handmade item to coordinate with the
final room design from me (see some of my kiddo DIYs here, here, and here)
How to enter:
While the freebies included in this giveaway are lovely, we ask
that you be in the process of planning a child’s room when entering this
giveaway. We’d LOVE to be able to help with a real life room re-design so we’re
looking for someone who desperately wants help and will be engaged in the
process. This does not exclude people who may have some of the basics, but
really need some help bringing it all together.
Terms/Dates:
The prize winner will be
announced on Taste{Full} and Live the Fancy Life on August 19, 2013.
No purchase is required to
enter this giveaway. You must be a legal U.S. resident.
All entries must include an
email address in the blog comments. All entries without email addresses will
not be eligible for the contest.
The entry deadline is 12
midnight CST on Aug. 16, 2013.
The individual businesses
offering prizes will send the prize within 45 days of us receiving your full
name and mailing address. The design board and consultation will be completed
within 45 days as well assuming communication and collaboration is timely.
Winners will be selected
randomly using Rafflecopter. Winners have 48 hours to respond when notified and
accept their prizes or they will automatically forfeit their prize and an
alternate winner may be selected.
Jessica and I will choose coordinating items from the
vendors included in this giveaway. You will receive these items directly from
the companies offering the prizes.
Dates: July 29 through August 16. Winner to be announced August 19.
Recently I came across a couple of posts on easy gift wrapping ideas for kiddos. I loved both and imitated one, and wanted to share. I have always loved gift wrapping and trying to think of simple but pretty ideas to make a gift stand out. It's sort of silly since most of the time it will be thrown away...but I just can't help myself. It's the aesthetic lover in me.
On a random trip to a thrift store without anything specific on my "to-buy" list, I bought a cork board for $2. I figured I could do something cool with it and I am ALWAYS in need of organizational tools. It's been sitting in my basement for like ever while I gathered ideas via Pinterest. And while I planned to go find fabric once I settled on a fabric covered option. Wait, you mean to tell me planning to do something isn't the same as actually doing it? Shut! Up!
Those of you who are my Facebook friends (or real life friends) know I take a pretty insane amount of photos. Why? I love photography and cultivating my skills, my kids are fairly cooperative, and though I'm biased, pretty cute, I'm home with them, and I love documenting and writing. So all of that leads to 1000s of photos a month! I try to post my faves to Facebook since that makes it so easy to keep up with friends and family who are far away, like all of my family is. And if I'm being honest: It's sort of a crazy addiction too...like I feel "behind," if I have photos to edit/share that I haven't yet posted. Which is totally ridiculous but I have a few friends out there who are so feelin me (you know who you are!). While going through May and June photos I realized we did a few fun activities as a family during that time frame and wanted to share them here on Taste{Full}. I don't often share personal photos but I personally love to see them on the others' blogs. Plus and I'm always looking for ideas for activities suitable for young families. So here's what's keeping us entertained lately:
