Budget-Friendly Back-to-School Styles - Pretty Real

Budget-Friendly Back-to-School Styles

9:55 AM

Thank you Walmart for sponsoring this post!
The first day of school is Monday. WHAT?! How did that happen? If you haven't finished your shopping, I wanted to warn you not to sleep on the amazing prices and the new brands that Walmart carry- brands like Reebok, Justice, Champion, and Steve Madden to name a few. So good! I'm also loving their internal brands like Wonder Nation (it's all so adorable and well made) and Garanimals. The other thing I love is that it's been increasingly tough to find stylish clothes for girls from the 8-12 range and these lines nail it!  Here are the things Genevieve (11) and Nadia (9) chose and my haul for Dax (6). And bonus- only one item is over $20 with most pieces falling in the $6-$12 range!

First, Genevieve's Picks!

(Sources will be at the end!)

A note about these jeans. Genevieve is extremely sensitive to discomfort and also picky about style (she's almost 12 guys. IYKYK). We tried jeans from several places. These won out by far for style, comfort, and price. She doesn't care about price and says mom means made of money 😆, but I do! And I don't care as much about comfort- I probably have permanent abdominal damage from squeezing myself into tight jeans, but she does. But we both care about style. win. win. win. The shoes are women sz 8- they run small. She wears a kid size 5. Hot tip: Make sure you search the Time and Tru brand for your tween/teen!

Dazzling Sweatshirt (and I mean, isn't she?)

Now it's Nadia's turn!

A note about the boots- they are Time and Tru and so cute! The wonder nation kid version is just as cute but note- they're shiny. Homegirl feels so cute in this outfit and I'm with her! I love that Justice is now available at Walmart!

I chose Dax's clothes (he approved) and I bought SO much more than what's pictured- however he's 6 and full of big boy energy so this was all I could get out of him. I did however link the other items I bought!

Hoodie  |  Jeans (similar)  |  Reebok Velcro Sneakers

A note about Dax's outfit- the hoodie has thumb holes which was all it took to win him over. It also comes in a bunch of colors- we have this one too! His jeans are pull-on which I love and only $5.97available in store. The pair linked above are so cute though and under $10. Can you believe you can get Reebok from Walmart?! Love these cute and shoes and he loves that there are no shoe laces. Unfortunately they're out of stock but sign up to be notified of re-stock! Click here for a similar pair.

A Note about Quality

I've been shopping Walmart's clothes section for the kids for years but let me say it just keeps getting better! The quality is great, the prices can't be beat, and the styles are so cute- my kids (especially the girls) are picky and they legitimately love these clothing items. I particularly love their inclusive sizing since we shop the full range between all 3 kiddos.

note: I purchased most of what's pictured below with my own money. ;) So if you have a question about fit let me know!
