Adding to the Oasis- a Privacy Wall for the Pergola
7:30 AMThis post is sponsored by Walmart. As Always, all opinions are mine.
We built our patio in 2020 and since then, it's been a place of respite and memory making. To continue making it the summer oasis we want, we decided to add a privacy wall to the pergola. Our neighbor's home is pretty close to ours and staring at their siding wasn't giving (as my teen would say). We also needed a place for Joe's new griddle. With a privacy wall, the griddle can live next to the grill without slipping off the edge of the patio. Testing out the new griddle was the perfect excuse to grab a few patio must-haves from Walmart. I purchased the griddle from Walmart in June for Father's Day but it's still on rollback! Walmart is always first on my list for affordable and pretty finds and when will I stop being surprised at the selection?! Their patio and garden section is FULL of things I wanted but I used some self control and limited my haul to a few fresh pots, outdoor serve ware, and pillows for our outdoor sofa. Here's how the privacy wall turned out.

Blackstone Griddle (on rollback!)
Joe loves the griddle (even if you can't tell in this photo- haha)- at the time that I'm writing this, it's only been set up for a few days and we've had a meal on it every day! Stay tuned for a post full of advice on using a griddle.
We still need to stain the privacy wall but I couldn't help but dress it up with a new plant. I love this terra cotta look pot- gorgeous and lightweight!
We grabbed a few outdoor dining essentials too- we love dining al fresco as a family and having durable outdoor dishes/trays/etc is a must for that oasis feel- I want to be enjoying myself, not worrying about broken glass.
It's' been a couple of years since I added pillows to the lounge area of the patio so I was pumped to find these perfect pillows! The small one is outdoor; the large pillows are reversible but meant for indoor. But here's a Tip- use outdoor scotch guard to use them outdoors- though I still recommend storing them during inclement weather. ;)
With just a few purchases, we gave the patio a much needed refresh. I love that Walmart makes it easy to refresh our space in style on any budget! Here's a snapshot of what we grabbed- pin for later or shop now!
