When Bed Bath & Beyond approached me to collaborate, I knew exactly what area needed a spring refresh. My poor front porch was still sportin its Christmas look. In March. Yikes. I saw this as an opportunity to get my life together. So I did what any reasonable human would do and spent hours pouring through their site. It was easy to get lost- so many lanterns, planters, and doormats, oh my. Here's what I picked and some steps I took (fine- I still have one more item to mark off my list!) to give our front porch a little love and the spring makeover it deserved.
Thank you ShopStyle and eBay for sponsoring this post. As usual, all opinions are mine.
Every time I share our patio, I get a slew of questions- many of which revolve around maintenance. And I get it- I was shocked to learn that most "outdoor" furnishings don't hold up to the elements at all. We also learned pretty quickly that we needed some tools in our toolbelt to keep our uncovered patio looking clean and fresh, while also protecting the things we had in the space. A few years into having and loving this space and I thought I'd share how we 'open' the patio and how we spring-clean the patio in preparation for months of fun and outdoor movies (finally!).
If you follow on Instagram, you know I have the "magic" rug in our loft and, well, the magic has worn off. I'm ready for a change. That said, I have to add though that this rug has been so good to us and was GREAT for 4 years with 3 littles. It cleans up really well and goes with everything. So don't rule it out if you need a kid-friendly rug! I've been checking out Rugs USA (not sponsored) and found a variety of large-sized neutral area rugs. I shared them all on Like.To.Know.It but I hear some of you prefer round-ups on the blog so this one's for you!
Valentine's Day is on a Sunday this year with no school on Monday and homegirl wants to do. it. up. ha. This snack platter is one of many ideas to make Valentine's day fun and feel special (check out others here!). While it's not technically charcuterie, it has all of the charms of it, right? It's sweet- both literally and figuratively- and pretty. What more could you want? Keeping these trays simple can be a challenge so I thought I'd share how I do it and exactly what I used for this Valentine's Day Snack Platter!
Fun, family-friendly. Try saying that 5 times fast. ;) Do you go out on Valentine's Day? Maybe I'm getting old (ok, yes. yes I am) but going out on February 14th doesn't sound as appealing as it once did. We generally have a date night around Valentine's Day but on the actual holiday, I like to celebrate with my kids too. When they were little, I'd host Valentine's Day play dates and it was always so much fun. Now that they're older we do a variety of things that make the day feel special. Here are some family-friendly ideas to celebrate Valentine's Day with your crew.
