What to Wear This Holiday Season!

Thank you for Walmart for sponsoring this post!

Budget-Friendly Style for the Holidays!

I'm often asked for a link to what I'm wearing and more often than I can count, it's an item from Walmart Fashion. They have such pretty styles and the quality- particularly of their Free Assembly and Time and Tru lines- is also of note! Let me be frank with you- I initially planned to share just one look but there were so many fun items that I could wear this Holiday season that 'one' ended up being four. Thankfully Walmart fashion is easy on the wallet! But let's get to it- Here's what to wear this holiday season along with styling tips and sizing notes! And make sure to check out all my picks at the end!

What to wear to the Christmas Tree Farm (or any outdoor holiday event):

Cozy Sweater + Levi's Denim + Fur Lined Boots

Style Tip: Rolling your jeans and showing a little sock adds a little oomph to your outfit and draws attention to your cute boots.

Here's the deal- I take like 1000 pictures when we visit the farm so I like to look cute! But it's also cold so a warm outfit is non-negotiable. Enter this cozy sweater. You know I love a statement sleeve and the beige looks so good with red or green! Did you know Walmart carries Levi's brand? These jeans fit like a glove and come in various sizes and lengths! These items all run TTS. I'm wearing a 29x30 in the Levi's- my usual size. And let's chat about these boots. They're adorable and comfortable. They felt small at first but after wearing them around the house, I decided not to order up. Even with my thicker socks, they felt good!

Style tip: Do a little front tuck to keep your look casual. Also, I always wear a tank or tee under a sweater that has acrylic in it.

What to wear to A Christmas Eve Service (or Christmas Party)

Red Dress + Tights + Ankle Strap Heels

Style Tip: If your dress is a bit shorter than you'd like, add dark tights to camouflages the length.

Dress (comes in black too!)  |  Heels

I love wearing sheath style dresses to dinner parties. Homegirl needs room to eat. ;) This dress fits true to size (I'm wearing a a medium) but keep in mind, I'm 6'0" tall and it was definitely not made with my height in mind. ha! It comes in black too and is only $32. I can hardly believe it. It looks and feels so much more expensive!

What to Wear to a New Year's Eve Party (or Christmas Dinner/Dinner Party)

Sweater + Pleated Skirt + Ankle Strap Heels

Style Tip: A pleated skirt is so versatile! Wear it with a sweater like I did, a blazer, a button up, or a body con shirt!

Inexpensive Holiday Looks!
Sweater  |  Heels  |  Skirt

Ok I love this skirt and it's under $14. What?! Reviews say it's very bright but I found it to be true to the color on my screen. I ordered both a medium and small and the small fits better but I'm wearing the medium in the photo above. The sweater runs big. I'm wearing a small. Fun fact about the sweater- at the last moment, I decided to wear it for family photos rather than the much more expensive sweater I'd planned to wear. It's that good!

Style Tip: Mix it up by pairing this skirt with the sweater in the first look and tall slouchy boots.

What to wear to A Girls Night Gift Exchange

Sweater + Tapered Jeans + Heels

Style Tip: Pair slouchy jeans with structured heels to dress them up and keep your look tailored.

I'd been wanting to try the peg leg trend but didn't have it in me to spend $$$ on them (what if I hated them?!). These were the right price and I ended up loving them! They're a tad short on me- again I'm an Amazon woman- but with the ankle strap they totally work. I can't wait to wear them with a graphic tee and flip flops this summer! Because it's a more youthful line I bought a bigger size but my normal size (6) worked best. Speaking of youthful, I'd never tried the Scoop line before but now there's no turning back. I love the jeans and the sweater and will definitely be trying more pieces!
